Nyx colour correcting palette review

Hey beauties,

Today I’m back with a review on Nyx colour correcting palette.

Nyx colour correcting palette

What are colour correctors?

  • Colour correctors are concealers which are used to hide different types of pigmentation of skin.

When should we use them?

  • They are used before the foundation but after primer.

Where can we use them?

  • We can use them under the eyes, high points of face and to conceal any redness on the face.

How do they work?

  • Colour correctors neutralize and brighten the pigmented area and prepare the skin for foundation.

Nyx colour correcting palette is all in one palette. The best thing about this palette is i don’t have to carry every colour separately.

Cost: Rs 1326

Packaging:

The palette comes in a square box which contains six different colours. The colours in the palette are yellow, green, lavender, peachy pink, tan and deep tan.

Texture:

The texture is soft, but the weird thing i experienced was when i tried to blend this with a concealer brush it dried out and and was peeling off my skin but it worked nicely when i blended it with my fingers. I don’t think it’ll work for the people with dry skin as it’s a little bit drying. [Tip: Moisturize well before applying primer]

On the official site of nyx, it says:

Treat your face to the ultimate concealer palette in six color correcting shades. Customizable to create your ideal shade to cover imperfections the lightweight formula glides on for an ultra-smooth finish and leaves skin feeling soft and supple.

Now let’s see how to use this colour corrector..

Nyx colour correcting palette

Yellow colour is used to brighten the skin tone, we can use it on your whole face as well as under the eyes to highlight it.

Nyx colour correcting palette

Green colour is used to conceal any redness on the face. It can also be used to hide the acne redness.

Nyx colour correcting palette

Lavender colour is used to brighten the skin, we can use it on the high points of our face like cheekbones, forehead, chin etc. It can also be used to conceal the brown under eye circle.

Nyx colour correcting palette

Peachy pink is used to conceal grey under eye circle. Since it’s light peachy pink so, it won’t be able to conceal heavy under eye circle.

Nyx colour correcting palette

Tan coloured concealer has yellow undertone which looks very similiar to peachy pink concealer but if you look carefully you’ll be able to spot the difference in the undertones.

Nyx colour correcting palette

Deep tan concealer is for dark coloured people with yellow undertone. It can also be used for contouring.

My final thoughts:

Pros:

  • All in one product
  • Travel friendly
  • Works for my skin tone
  • Doesn’t settle on fine lines
  • Blends easily with fingres

Cons:

  • Does not easily blend with concealer brush
  • Dry texture
  • Not gonna work for dry skin type

will i repurchase it:

Yes, because it works for me since i don’t have hyperpigmentation. I may switch to other product if i find something better.

  1. Hey beautiful I really enjoyed your post it was informative and and well written ..I just gave your blog a follow looking forward to more

  2. Love the swatches! I debated getting this little palette for so long, but instead decided on the Maybelline master camo corrector palette. I think the colours in this Nyx one were just so vibrant that it scared me away haha. I also have dry skin, so it’s good to know that it might not work well for my skin type!
